Fashion, Style and Religion

There is often discussion when it comes to Fashion, Style, and Religion. How do they coexist, what is the limitations, and what is acceptable. Recently Erica Campbell, of the gospel duo Mary Mary, faced this issue head on. As a Christian faith based clothing line that is always evolving and expanding, we would like to hear your views on this topic.

“The criticism has Campbell thinking there needs to be a bigger conversation about Christianity and sexuality. “This is about confidence and realizing that God made you and that you are beautiful just the way you are,” she says. “I think that young girls shouldn’t only get sexy images from people who are not proclaiming Jesus. But I am. And I’m cute too.”

The mom of three is currently gearing up for season three of her WE reality show with sister Tina and the release of her debut solo album”(Essence.com).

R.I.P. James “Uncle Phil” Avery

I cried the 1st time watching this episode of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air and every time I saw it after. I never knew life growing up without a father and neither will my son. But through the portrayal of “Uncle Phil” I see the importance of being a positive impact in young men’s lives by being that Uncle in their lives. If I’m ever called to step up that big in life I too will Channel my inner “Uncle Phil” to my nephews and nieces.. Rest In Peace Mr. James Avery.. #ThankYouGodBless
